Work-Based Learning of Pedagogical College Students

As part of work-based learning, students of JAPK, together with their instructor M. Mambetova and the students of group BKMb-2-24, took part in a practical session held at Secondary School No. 4 in the city of Manas within the discipline “Native Language and Methods of Teaching the Native Language.”

During the lesson, students observed the stages of working with a text and modern teaching methods, while also gaining practical experience. The lesson conducted by trainee student Zhibek Maksutalieva was organized using the three stages of text-based instruction, and the topic was explained through expressive reading.

Digital technologies were widely used in the lesson. A video prepared using platforms such as ChatGPT, Grok AI, Gemini, and InShot was presented. To assess students’ understanding, question-and-answer methods and character analysis tasks were applied.

The lesson was prepared jointly by instructor M. Mambetova and trainee student Zhibek Maksutalieva.

After that, the classroom teacher explained the test using the “reading with pauses” strategy.

As a result, the lesson was conducted effectively with the use of interactive methods. After the session, a discussion was held with the students, and they were assigned the task of developing a lesson plan.
