IMPLEMENTATION OF WORK-BASED LEARNING

On February 4, 2026, in accordance with the academic calendar of the Pedagogical Institute named after E. Umetov of the Scientific-Educational Production Complex “Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov”, a significant educational event took place. For students of the FMЕ(M)-1-24 group, majoring in 550200 “Physics and Mathematics Education” (Mathematics profile), a work-based practical session was organized for the discipline “Methods of Teaching Physics and Mathematics (Mathematics).” In this framework, a demonstration lesson on the topic “Square Root of a Fraction” was conducted by M.N. Nurmatova, a senior lecturer of the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling, for 8th-grade students at the Raatbek Sanatbaev Secondary School No. 9 in Manas. Lesson Progression and Methodology: • Modern presentations were used to enhance visual perception and ensure deep comprehension. • Interactive games such as “Crossword” and “Path to Victory” were effectively utilized. • Lesson objectives were clearly communicated, and learning activities were executed through specific algorithmic steps. • Techniques like “Exit Tickets” and “Misconception Checks” were applied to ensure feedback. • Students analyzed their activities in relation to the lesson goals and drew relevant conclusions. • Student achievements were objectively assessed based on pre-defined criteria. Students of the FMЕ(M)-1-24 group observed the lesson and provided evaluations via a dedicated link, completing the following documentation: • Lesson Observation Sheet: An analysis of the teaching process. • Three-Part Diary: Reflection on the effectiveness of the tools and methods used. • Workbook: Description of the steps justifying the selection of methods to achieve learning outcomes. The two-hour practical activity was evaluated according to the established assessment criteria.
