Quotas from China for Students of JASU

Students of JASU are granted opportunities and benefits to study in China and enhance their education. This was announced by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Kyrgyzstan, Liu Jianping, during his visit to Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov. The university has close cooperation with Chinese universities, and in the past, students had the chance not only to study but also to undergo practical training in China. Ambassador Liu Jianping promised that the number of quotas for students will be further increased in the near future. The Rector emphasized that JASU actively collaborates with a number of universities and research institutes in China. Currently, the Confucius Institute at JASU is actively operating and providing education to students. The Chinese delegation met with students learning Chinese and became acquainted with the university’s activities. Both sides proposed to raise the inter-university cooperation between JASU and Chinese universities to a higher level. It was also noted that any support needed by the university will be considered by the Embassy. It should be mentioned that the Confucius Institute at JASU was established in 2016 and provides education in Chinese language and culture. At present, more than 700 students are studying in this field, and for effective learning, the university has invited 10 teachers from China.
