JASU Joins the Turkic World in Shaping the Common Future of Higher Education

B. Osmonov Jalal-Abad State University continues to strengthen its international academic ties and actively participates in initiatives aimed at expanding cooperation among universities across the Turkic world.

From 5 to 14 September 2026, the ORTAK Program, organized by YTB, is being held in Ankara, Türkiye. The program brings together representatives of higher education institutions from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and Hungary.

The program focuses on major areas of modern higher education, including higher education policies and strategies, quality assurance and accreditation, digital transformation, and educational technologies.

B. Osmonov Jalal-Abad State University is represented by Dr. Atabek Pakirovich Alibaev, Advisor to the Rector and Doctor of Technical Sciences. He has extensive experience in higher education management and served as Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs — First Vice-Rector of JASU from 2016 to 2025.

Particular attention is being paid to the development of international academic cooperation and joint educational programs, as well as future trends in education and the improvement of higher education policy. The academic sessions are complemented by practical activities and institutional visits.

One of the key objectives of the program is to establish sustainable links between participating universities and create new opportunities for joint research, faculty and student mobility, exchange programs, and long-term institutional partnerships.

Through his participation, Dr. Atabek Alibaev aims to gain deeper insight into Türkiye’s higher education system, strengthen cooperation between universities in Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye, explore best practices in quality assurance and accreditation, and promote joint research and academic exchange initiatives.

JASU’s participation in the ORTAK Program is more than an exchange of experience — it is an important step toward strengthening long-term partnerships with universities across the Turkic world, expanding academic cooperation, and launching new joint educational and research initiatives.
