JASU representative participated in social project design training: Jalal-Abad region team won the pitching competition
From August 11 to 13, 2026, a three-day training on social project design and business planning was held at the “Bridges” hotel in Bishkek, with the participation of members of the “Zhanyryk” National Network from seven regions of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Rakhat Borbieva as a specialist from the Department of International Relations and Rankings of Jalal-Abad state university named after B. Osmonov (JASU) took part in the training.
The main objective of the training was to develop practical skills for creating sustainable social enterprises, designing social projects, and developing effective business plans.
During the three-day program, participants covered the following topics:
Day 1: project hypotheses, stakeholder analysis, problem and objective trees, and SWOT analysis;
Day 2: Business Model Canvas, empathy maps, and market analysis;
Day 3: preparation of project presentations and final project defense (pitching).
A particularly significant achievement was the first-place victory of the Jalal-Abad region team in the final presentation and pitching of the developed social projects. This result demonstrated the participants’ high level of preparation, their ability to apply the knowledge gained in practice, effectively present social initiatives, and substantiate their sustainability.
The training provided participants with practical tools for transforming social initiatives into real social projects and sustainable business models.
For Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov, participation in such events represents an important step toward strengthening the professional competencies of its staff, expanding international and partnership cooperation, and introducing modern approaches to social entrepreneurship and adult education.
The topic is particularly relevant to the development of adult education, as modern educational approaches should not only provide new knowledge and skills but also create opportunities for professional development, employment, and the implementation of social initiatives.
Participation in the training and the achieved results open up new opportunities for further cooperation. The knowledge and practical skills acquired, as well as the professional contacts established during the training, can contribute to fruitful long-term cooperation for JASU, its staff, students, and the local community, promoting the development of socially oriented projects, inclusive education, and modern adult education practices.
