Triumph on the Educational Olympus: EdNet Recognizes JASU Among the Top 10 Universities in the Country

Today, the Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov was visited by O.A. Umankulova, President of the Public Foundation “Educational Quality Assurance Agency EdNet.” During a working meeting with Rector K.Zh. Usenov, the results of the II Independent Ranking of Higher Education Institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2025–2026 were presented, and a certificate was awarded confirming JASU’s inclusion among the top ten universities in the country based on the professional ranking.

The study covered 79 higher education institutions across the republic. In the overall ranking, JASU placed 11th, rising one position compared to 2024. In the professional ranking, which includes 14 leading universities, the university moved up from 12th to 9th place.

The meeting highlighted the university’s positive dynamics in several areas. In terms of publications in the Scopus international database per faculty member in 2025, JASU ranked 3rd among all universities in the country. In the professional ranking, which considered publication activity over the last three years, the university placed 9th, with 76 articles published, five of which appeared for the first time in Q1 journals in 2025. An improvement was also noted in the quality of the academic staff, rising from 12th to 3rd place nationwide.

High student satisfaction was also emphasized: according to an independent student survey, JASU ranked 5th in the country, and 93.3% of respondents said they would choose their university and program again.

Rector K.Zh. Usenov expressed gratitude to EdNet for the assessment and noted that the university will continue strengthening cooperation with employers, expanding international partnerships, and developing digital infrastructure.
