JASU Expands Cooperation with Xinjiang Railway Vocational and Technical College

On June 27, 2026, a delegation from Jalal-Abad State University (JASU), headed by Rector Keneshbek Usenov, visited Xinjiang Railway Vocational and Technical College (PRC) to strengthen bilateral cooperation in education and railway workforce training.

The delegation included Taalaibek Umetov, Director of the Institute for Professional Development at JASU, and Jin Yan, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at JASU. The delegation was received by the college leadership, including Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and President Saimaijiang Usman, and Vice President Zhang Jinyuan.

During the visit, the JASU representatives were introduced to training centers for high-speed railway technologies, industry–education integration facilities, libraries, sports infrastructure, and modern equipment related to railway systems and new energy technologies.

During the official meeting, both sides highlighted the strategic importance of cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and regional transport connectivity.

Rector Keneshbek Usenov presented the university’s academic activities, educational programs, and international partnerships, emphasizing the importance of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway project for expanding academic collaboration.

As a result of the discussions, the parties agreed to expand cooperation in joint educational programs, practical training bases, academic exchange, and workforce development for the railway sector.

An international cooperation agreement was signed between JASU and Xinjiang Railway Vocational and Technical College.
