Participation of JASU in the International Partners’ Meeting of the SILKWAY Project in Tashkent

From 26 to 28 November 2025, a working visit of a representatives of Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov took place at Tashkent State Technical University named after I. Karimov within the framework of the international project SILKWAY — “Development of Interdisciplinary and Sustainable Skills for Electricity and Heat Production from Renewable Energy Sources.”

The project is implemented under the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and aims to strengthen the capacity of higher education institutions in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The initiative aligns with the objectives of the European Green Deal and addresses current challenges related to energy and geopolitical sustainability in the region.

The main objective of the SILKWAY project is to enhance the quality of education and improve graduate employability through the introduction of updated curricula in the fields of renewable energy, energy efficiency, circular economy, and business development.

During the visit, key areas of project implementation were discussed, including the development of courses in line with the standards of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), capacity building for academic staff through innovative teaching methodologies, the establishment of modern educational laboratories, and the expansion of cooperation between universities and the energy industry.

The event was attended by all project partners, including representatives of European universities and consortium coordinators. As a result of the working meetings, further steps for project implementation, experience exchange, and strengthening academic and research cooperation among partner institutions were agreed upon.
