610001 - Priorities of the Department of Veterinary Medicine in the preparation of qualified personnel in the veterinary field The Department of Veterinary Medicine of Jalalabad State University named after Osmanov provides training of qualified specialists in the field of veterinary medicine, which is in demand in the agrarian sector of the region.

One of the major advantages of the department is its geographical location. The majority of the population of Jalalabad region is traditionally involved in animal husbandry, which increases the demand for qualified veterinarians. The specialists of the department are trained taking into account the real needs of the region, which ensures their rapid adaptation to professional activities. The city of Manas is an important administrative, scientific and educational center of the region.

Jalal-Abad State University (JASU) is a leading classical university in the southern region of Kyrgyzstan that provides training for veterinary specialists. On the territory of the region, district, regional veterinary and phytosanitary services, as well as veterinary inspections before each village government actively work. In Manassas, there is a modern veterinary laboratory equipped with equipment that tests the quality of agricultural products derived from animals and plants. In addition, there is a Jalal-Abad Zone Veterinary Laboratory in Massy village of Nooken district, which conducts laboratory studies for infectious and invasive diseases, as well as toxicological analysis of products.

In fact, in 2025, the Department of Veterinary Medicine will launch a major project, purchasing laboratory equipment worth millions of soums. As a result, today the department has one of the most powerful and modern veterinary laboratories in southern Kyrgyzstan. The laboratory is fully equipped with state-of-the-art, high-precision equipment needed to conduct a wide range of veterinary and biological studies.

In addition, it is equipped with all the necessary tools and instruments for diagnostics, quality control, and analysis of livestock products. This will greatly expand the department's opportunities for scientific, educational and practical activities. Thus, the Department of Veterinary Medicine is a modern and dynamically developing educational platform, capable of preparing highly qualified veterinary personnel that meet the requirements of the time and the needs of the region.

What does the proximity of veterinary services and laboratories mean? It facilitates the task of going through various forms of study practice (saving travel time, reducing transportation costs, most importantly - the student goes through a quality practice, strengthens his theoretical knowledge and clearly sees the future of veterinary medicine and his place in its development); it facilitates the job of highly qualified production specialists as teaching assistants, which ultimately leads to the qualitative formation of the necessary competence of the graduate, which will benefit his further professional activity. A graduate plays a positive role in getting a job - for most graduates , this is where they grew up . It will ease the burden of keeping young professionals at home, which will have a positive impact on curbing the unwanted migration of citizens within Kyrgyzstan and abroad.

A graduate of the Department of Veterinary Medicine is a broad-based specialist. He can work in all fields related to the production of veterinary services of the Kyrgyz Republic (individual, local self-government bodies, district, regional, republican) and abroad, as well as continue his studies in the graduate school and engage in scientific and pedagogical activities. The preparation of personnel for the 610001-Veterinary BPP will be implemented in the JSC from September 1, 2025. Graduates are awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Duration of study: 5 years of daytime study at the general secondary school, 6 years of study abroad. 3 years on the basis of secondary vocational education (only full-time).

Teaching is conducted in the Kyrgyz and Russian languages. PUBLIC education has all the academic resources to do its job. 610001 Veterinary educational program successfully passed independent program accreditation in 2024 (according to professions (specialties)) (Novu 240000085 "Education-Standard", Order No024/3a dated 30.03.2024 The term of accreditation is until 8 May 2024 . The purpose of such partnerships is to ensure the comparative recognition of qualifications and the employability of graduates. This is evidenced by the ability of the JMU to transfer students and specialists to other universities in the PRC and abroad, and vice versa. FOR graduates to find employment, there are regular job fairs. On job fairs, employers advertise job openings in a specific field. University students do internships in various veterinary practices and gain additional practical skills. After they graduate, they usually go on to pursue careers in these industries. There is a connection with employers, because during the internship, during the state examinations, they select students who excel in their studies and recruit them. For example:

If we look at last year's employment data, we see that there's a huge demand for graduates, but at the same time, about 70 percent of graduates are employed, and they're getting jobs in all kinds of fields. In order to determine the level of professional preparation of students, from the moment of passing through the industrial and state practice, feedback is given by the managers of enterprises on theoretical and practical advances and disadvantages, new technologies of production. At the end of the educational program, a qualification "Veterinary doctor" is awarded in the field of veterinary medicine, and diplomas of the state type are issued in the Kyrgyz and Russian languages.
