BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT
From 2016 to 2019, Candidate of Sciences (Economics), Associate Professor A.B. Karbekova, led the Department of Finance and Credit, while Candidate of Sciences (Economics), Associate Professor E.N. Tolonov, headed the Department of Economics and Accounting. On September 2, 2019, by order of the Rector of B. Osmonov State University, the Department of Economics, Accounting, and Finance was established № 277. It was organized by the Departments of Finance and Credit, Economics, and Accounting.
EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The Department of Economics, Accounting, and Finance offers bachelor's degree programs in major 580100 Economics (Accounting, Analysis and Audit, Finance and Credit). The training is based on the State Educational Standard for Higher Professional Education (SES HPE) in 580100 Economics, approved by Order No. 1578/1 of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic on September 21, 2021.Based on the State Educational Standard for Higher Professional Education and taking into account the needs of the labor market and other stakeholders, a core educational program (CEP, major: Finance and Credit, Accounting, Analysis, and Audit) has been developed for major 580100 "Economics." It has clearly defined educational objectives, clearly defined expected learning outcomes, and a graduate competency model (major: Finance and Credit, Accounting, Analysis, and Audit).
DEPARTMENT FACULTY
Currently, in accordance with licensing requirements, the Department of Economics faculty consists of 19 people. Of these, 10 are full-time faculty members and 9 are part-time employees of State University (4 doctors of science, professors, 9 candidates of science, associate professors, 2 senior lecturers, and 4 lecturers). The department employs one Honored Economist of the Kyrgyz Republic, one Distinguished Accountant and Audit Scholar of the Kyrgyz Republic, 13 Distinguished Education Scholars of the Kyrgyz Republic, and one Distinguished Science Scholar of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic. Most of the faculty have over 28 years of experience, with the longest experience exceeding 50 years and the shortest being up to 10 years. The proportion of faculty with a candidate or doctoral degree among the total number of faculty members providing education in this program is 68%.
