IS OUR LIFE STABLE? LIFELONG LEARNING – A NECESSITY OF OUR TIME

On December 19, 2025, an interactive lecture focused on addressing future challenges was held for second-year students at the Pedagogical Faculty named after E. Umetov of the Scientific-Educational Production Complex “JASU named after B. Osmonov”.

M. N. Nurmatova, a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling, conducted a two-hour educational lecture titled “Is Our Life Stable?” for the FME(M)-1-25 group. The primary goal of the session was to stimulate students’ personal development and create a framework for re-evaluating the values of the modern world.

In the introductory part of the session, students listed their expectations and engaged in a lively discussion regarding the stability of life. While analyzing today’s realities through individual and pair work, the students reached a unanimous and well-founded conclusion: “life is unstable”. This perspective reflected their realistic outlook on an ever-changing era.

To reinforce the discussion with visual information, a special video was presented. It illustrated the lack of absolute stability in the modern era and provided a broad understanding of the “Top 10 Soft Skills” and the principle of “Lifelong Learning” as guarantees for future success. This information urged students to move away from the outdated “one profession for life” concept and toward professional flexibility.

In the second part of the lecture, students worked with a text focused on the necessity of updating the education system in the face of global changes. Skillfully using the “INSERT” technology, students conducted an in-depth analysis of the text and formed their personal positions on the transformation of modern education. This contributed to the growth of their critical thinking as future educators.

At the end of the lesson, students performed a reflection, comparing their initial expectations with the knowledge they had gained. The feedback from participants was very high, and it was noted that a logical continuation of this important topic will be discussed extensively next semester.

This event provided students with significant motivation to prepare for global challenges, to correctly build personal development strategies, and to become versatile specialists in their professional careers.
