IS OUR LIFE STABLE? A NEW PERSPECTIVE AND OPEN DISCUSSION FOR STUDENTS

On December 19, 2025, a special educational lecture focused on guiding students’ life perspectives was held at the Pedagogical Faculty named after E. Umetov of the Scientific-Educational Production Complex of the “Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov”.

M. N. Nurmatova, a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling, conducted a two-hour interactive lecture titled “Is Our Life Stable?” for students of the FME(M)-1-25 group. This lecture significantly differed from traditional formats, focusing on personal development, the re-evaluation of values, and readiness for modern global challenges.

At the beginning of the lecture, students familiarized themselves with the topic and recorded their expectations. Through individual and pair work, the audience explored the question: “Is life stable?” The discussion was lively: some students argued in favor of stability, while others provided evidence of the volatile and unpredictable nature of the modern world.

To deepen the discussion, a special video was presented. Its central theme was that stability no longer exists in the modern world; instead, the “Top 10 Soft Skills” and the principle of “Lifelong Learning” have become the primary requirements of our time. The lecture served as a powerful call to abandon the outdated “one profession for life” stereotype and to embrace professional flexibility.

In the next part of the lecture, a text was distributed to the students justifying the necessity of transforming the education system in response to global changes. Using the “INSERT” technology, the future educators conducted an in-depth analysis of the material and formed their own perspectives on the transformation of modern teaching.

At the end of the lecture, students compared their initial expectations with the information they had received and conducted a reflection. The feedback was exceptionally positive. It was announced that a logical continuation of this important topic would be explored in greater depth during the next semester.
