Effective methods of teaching solving irrational equations: experience of using critical thinking technologies and digital resources in an open lesson

In accordance with the schedule of open classes of the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling of the Pedagogical Faculty named after E. Umetov of the Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov for the second half of the 2024-2025 academic year, on April 21, 2025, an open lesson was held by senior lecturer M. N. Nurmatova on the topic of "Teaching to solve irrational equations" in the discipline "Methodology of teaching physical and mathematical education (mathematics)" for the FME(M)-1-23 group.

The lesson used critical thinking technologies, such as an advanced lecture, a logbook method, as well as a formative assessment technique: checking for erroneous understanding.

In addition, interactive digital applications were effectively integrated into the lesson process — LearningApps, Plickers, Flippity. The organization of individual, paired and group work contributed to the increase in the activity of students, the development of deep understanding and practical skills on the topic of the lesson.
