Methodological Seminar on Competency-Based Education Held at the Pedagogical Faculty

In April 2025, the E. Umetov Pedagogical Faculty of Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov declared a Methodological Month. As part of this initiative, on April 8, a seminar titled “Implementation of Competency-Based Education: Methodology and Practice” was held for the teaching staff. The seminar was conducted by M. Nurmatova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling, and a member of both the Faculty and University Methodological Councils.

The purpose of the seminar was to examine methodological frameworks aligned with the State Educational Standards for higher professional education and accreditation requirements, and to analyze the essential components of competency-based teaching. The seminar addressed key areas, including instructional materials, the assessment tools framework, the formation of subject-specific competencies, and the role of various learning environments across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains.
