On-the-Job Training for 3rd-Year Social Work Students Successfully Conducted

As part of their industrial practice, on-the-job training was organized for 3rd-year students majoring in Social Work. The training was supervised by the practice coordinator, A.A. Tashmatova. The main goal of the activity was to strengthen theoretical knowledge, familiarize students with real working conditions, and enhance their practical skills as future professionals.

During the training, students learned in detail about the work procedures of social service institutions, rules for interacting with clients, standards of documentation, methods of identifying social issues, and approaches to addressing them. Participants also had the opportunity to observe the work of specialists and complete a number of practical tasks independently.

Practice coordinator A.A. Tashmatova emphasized the students’ active participation and highlighted that this experience helps develop independence, professional confidence, as well as analytical and communication competencies. According to her, on-the-job training enables students to better understand the specifics of social work and its importance for society.

Students also noted that the training was highly beneficial: they gained a deeper understanding of the responsibilities of their future profession, acquired practical skills, and increased their confidence in future employment.

The on-the-job training became an important stage in improving the professional preparation of students and contributed to shaping qualified specialists capable of providing high-quality social services to the population.
