Department History

In 2020, based on the decision of the Academic Council of ZhAGU, two departments of the Faculty of Medicine were merged into a single department—"Pharmacy and Biomedical Disciplines" (Order No. 139 dated August 28, 2020). The department was headed by Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Ernazarova B.

Following the decision of the Academic Council of JASU and the Rector’s Order No. 17 dated January 31, 2022, the Department of Pharmacy and Biomedical Disciplines was divided into two separate departments the Department of Pharmacy and the Department of Medical and Preventive Sciences. Since February 2022 to the present (Order No. 37/1.01.02.2022), the Department of Biomedical and Morphological Disciplines has been headed by Candidate of Biochemical Sciences, Acting Professor Asanova Karachach.

Asanova Karachach graduated from the Osh State Pedagogical Institute in 1974 with a degree in Biology and Chemistry, earning the qualification of a teacher in these subjects. She has been working at JASU since 1993. In 2002, she defended her Candidate of Sciences dissertation on the topic "Animal Energetics and the Role of Mitochondrial Enzyme Systems in Enhancing Viability under Hypoxia" (specialty 03.00.13 – Human and Animal Physiology). By the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic (Protocol No. 5ds-2/10, May 24, 2012), she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in the specialty "Biology." She is a Professor of JASU (Order No. 1/122, Certificate No. 970).

Asanova Karachach has been awarded the "Excellence in Education of the Kyrgyz Republic" badge (Order No. 74/4, September 29, 2000). In 2013, she was granted the honorary title "Honored Worker of the State Agrarian University" (No. 89). In 2021, she received a Certificate of Honor from the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz Republic.
