DISCUSSION OF CORE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

The faculty and teaching staff of the Department of “Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling” of the Pedagogical Faculty named after E. Umetov of the Scientific, Educational and Production Complex of Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov discussed the Core Educational Programs (CEP) designed for the Bachelor’s qualification in Mathematics profile under the 550200 “Physics and Mathematics Education” direction.

The CEP developers reported that the program is based on the educational standard drafted for the aforementioned direction and adhered to the relevant regulations during the development process.

Senior lecturer M.N. Nurmatova extensively presented the mission, goals, and objectives of the direction, as well as the competencies to be formed within the disciplines indicated in the curriculum, and the expected learning outcomes corresponding to these competencies.

During the discussion, the distinctive features of the newly developed CEPs compared to previous programs were noted. In this regard, the issue of discussing the mutual compatibility of the Bachelor's program and the Master’s program was additionally raised with the aim of ensuring continuity of education.

The department’s faculty familiarized themselves with these features and stated the necessity of organizing joint meetings with employers and graduates to listen to their opinions and suggestions for further improvement of the program. They emphasized that these activities will contribute to the formation of the professional competencies of the specialist being trained and the enhancement of the educational program.
