OPEN LESSON HELD ON TEACHING METHODOLOGY BASED ON STEM TECHNOLOGY

On November 24, 2025, an open lesson was conducted for students of group FME(M)-1-23 on the topic “Methodology for Teaching Number Sequences and Progressions”. The lesson was led by Senior Lecturer Nurmatova M. N. of the Department of “Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling,” at the Pedagogical Institute named after E. Umetov, which is part of the scientific-educational production complex of Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov.

The open lesson was organized to discuss recommended methods for teaching specific elements of number sequences in secondary school based on STEM technology, with the aim of identifying patterns and interpreting their meanings.

Innovative educational tools were utilized during the session, specifically interactive instruments such as Flippity, Plickers, and GeoGebra. To elaborate on the topic and explain key concepts, short video fragments were actively employed. These videos enabled the demonstration of the scientific (Science), engineering (Engineering), technological (Technology), and mathematical (Mathematics) foundations of the concepts.

The work formats included individual, pair, and group activities. Techniques of formative assessment were applied. The lesson stimulated students' research abilities and generated lively interest. In conclusion, cards with questions and suggestions were collected to facilitate feedback.
